"There are many places in the world. You will not be able to care about all of them. Someone may care about a place deeply and you will not care at all. You may go to a place or see a picture of it and then never go there or think about it again. This is unfortunate but necessary. These are tragedies worth morning."
In 2015, I was the passenger on five long road trips. While on the road I used screenshots of Google Maps to document and explore the longer, less convenient routes we chose not to take. "Not Saving Space" is a couch upholstered in screenshots of these neglected routes. It is both a piece of furniture and a monument to all of the places I could have passed through but chose not to, most of which I have forgotten.
